In this 3 hour workshop students will learn how to knit their own stranded colourwork bauble, that can be used to hang from a tree or anywhere that needs a bit of colourful cheer. We will also touch on the basics of colour theory, other forms of colourwork and when they can be applied to different projects. Students will learn how to knit an i-cord, perfect for adding a finishing touch to other knitted edges.
Students should know how to knit and purl and be familiar with knitting in the round prior to the class.
Sunday 8 December 2024, 10:30am-1:30pm
Materials required (all materials can be purchased at Woolarium or brought to the class from home):
- 2 balls of 50g or less of 8ply (DK weight) or 10ply (worsted weight) yarn in two contrasting colours (one ball of each colour). Leftover yarns you might have at home will work well.

Our teacher, Amy Wilson, has been knitting for the majority of her life and teaching adults and children for the last 6 years. She is very passionate about the life lessons that can be learned from this craft and the enrichment it brings to one’s life.
