Colourwork Knitting

One 3 hour workshop for getting to grips with colourwork knitting.

In this 3 hour workshop students will learn how to knit their own stranded colourwork, commonly referred to as fair isle, beanie as well as about other forms of colourwork and when to apply them to different projects. 

Students should ideally be familiar with knitting in the round prior to this class, but the topic will also be refreshed at the beginning of the lesson. 

Sunday 28 July 2024, 10.30am - 1.30pm

Materials required (all materials can be purchased at Woolarium or brought to the class from home):

- One 5.00mm circular needle 40cm long and a matching set of double pointed needles or one 5.00mm circular needle 80cm long to knit magic loop or one set of 5.00mm double pointed needles. 
- Three 50gm balls of 10ply yarn in 3 different colours 

 

Our teacher, Amy Wilson has been knitting for the majority of her life and teaching adults and children for the last 6 years. She is very passionate about the life lessons that can be learned from this craft and the enrichment it brings to one’s life.
