One 3 hour workshop for finishing your knitwear.
Learn how to professionally finish your knitted items and turn them from homemade into handmade. In this 3 hour workshop students will learn how to block their finished items, seaming, picking up stitches, and advanced cast ons and bind offs that give a professional edge.

Materials required:
6 homework swatches (instructions below)
Waste yarn used to knit swatches
3 x 4.00mm or 5.00mm needles. Please bring the same size needles used to knit homework swatches
Darning needle
Locking stitch markers
Homework Swatches-
3 Garter stitch swatches in 8 or 10ply yarn
Knit three separate swatches by casting on 20 stitches and knitting 30 rows in garter stitch (knit every row). Leave all of the swatches not cast off by placing the live stitches on waste yarn.
3 Stocking stitch swatches in 8 or 10 ply yarn.
Knit three separate swatches by casting on 20 stitches and knitting 30 rows in stocking stitch (knit 1 row, purl 1 row and repeat.) Leave all of the swatches not cast off by placing the live stitches on waste yarn.
Our teacher, Amy Wilson has been knitting for the majority of her life and teaching adults and children for the last 6 years. She is very passionate about the life lessons that can be learned from this craft and the enrichment it brings to one’s life.
