Sweater Class

Learn to knit a top-down, in the round adult sweater in this 4-week course split over 8 weeks. We follow the pattern for the Felix Pullover designed by Amy Christoffers (Savory Knitting).

4 classes over 8 weeks:

Sunday 12 October 2025, 10.30am - 12.30pm

Sunday 19 October 2025, 10.30am - 12.30pm

Sunday 9 November 2025, 10.30am - 12.30pm

Sunday 30 November 2025, 10.30am - 12.30pm

This structure provides time to knit the majority of a sweater at home, learning all of the techniques as we go along. To achieve this, an average of 7-10 hours of knitting per week will be required depending on individual speed and size of sweater that is made.

This class is aimed for adventurous beginners or intermediates and participants must know how to knit and purl and knit in the round.

Students will learn how to measure their gauge, read a sweater pattern, short row shaping, raglan increases, casting on stitches for the underarms, picking up stitches, and a sewn bind off.

The pattern is included in the price of the class.

Our teacher, Amy Wilson has been knitting for the majority of her life and teaching adults and children for the last 6 years. She is very passionate about the life lessons that can be learned from this craft and the enrichment it brings to one’s life.
