Vest Class

Learn to knit a textured adult vest in this 4-week course split over 5 weeks. We follow the pattern for the Staffin Vest designed by Rebecca Clow. 

4 classes over 5 weeks:

Sunday 28 September 2025, 2:00pm - 4:00pm

Sunday 5 October 2025, 2:00pm - 4:00pm

Sunday 12 October 2025, 2:00pm - 4:00pm

Sunday 26 October 2025, 2:00pm - 4:00pm

This structure provides time to knit the majority of a vest at home, learning all of the techniques as we go along. To achieve this, an average of 7-10 hours knitting per week will be required depending on individual speed and size of vest that is made. 

This class is aimed for intermediate knitters and participants must know how to knit and purl confidently. 

Students will learn how to measure their gauge, read a garment pattern and chart, knit textured stitches and pick up stitches for ribbed bands. 

The pattern is included in the price of the class. 

Our teacher, Amy Wilson has been knitting for the majority of her life and teaching adults and children for the last 6 years. She is very passionate about the life lessons that can be learned from this craft and the enrichment it brings to one’s life.
