We have a range of knitting classes taught by Amy Wilson. She has been knitting for the majority of her life and teaching adults and children for the last 6 years. She is very passionate about the life lessons that can be learned from this craft and the enrichment it brings to one’s life. The classes will be a combination of group teaching and individual help.
Christmas Knitting Classes!
Holiday Colourwork Class, 1 week workshop, $90
Sunday 8 December 2024, 10:30am-1:30pm
In this 3 hour workshop students will learn how to knit their own stranded colourwork bauble, that can be used to hang from a tree or anywhere that needs a bit of colourful cheer.
Students should know how to knit and purl and be familiar with knitting in the round prior to the class. For more information and to book click here.
Holiday Gnome Class, 1 week workshop, $105
Sunday 15 December 2024, 10:30am-1:30pm
In this 3 hour workshop students will learn how to knit their own small gnome (like the one pictured), perfect to use as a hanging decoration, or to just add a little cheer and whimsy to a desk or shelf at home. This class is a good introduction into the joy of toy making.

Beginners Knitting, 4 weeks, $263
Thursdays 21 & 28 November and 5 & 12 December 2024, 6pm - 8pm
This class is aimed at people who are new to knitting and those with only a little experience who want to learn more.

Knit Stage 2, 4 weeks, $240
2025 dates to come
Building upon basic knitting skills, this 4 week course will elevate one’s knitting to an intermediate level. After this class students will have all the skills necessary to knit beanies and simple jumpers.

Colourwork Knitting, 1 week workshop, $90

In this 3 hour workshop students will learn how to knit their own stranded colourwork, commonly referred to as fair isle, beanie as well as about other forms of colourwork and when to apply them to different projects.

Sock Knitting Class, 3 weeks, $265

Ever wondered how to turn a heel and/or knit with the magic loop method?
This class will get you underway knitting some socks.

Sweater Class, 4 classes over 8 weeks, $251
Sundays 20 & 27 October, 17 November and 8 December 2024, 2.30pm - 4.30pm
Over 8 weeks learn how to knit an adult sweater, in the round from the top down.
This class is aimed for adventurous beginners or intermediates and participants must know how to knit and purl and knit in the round.
Students will learn how to measure their gauge, read a sweater pattern, short row shaping, raglan increases, casting on stitches for the underarms, picking up stitches, and a sewn bind off.

Finishing Knitting, 1 week workshop, $90
Sunday 24 November 2024, 2pm - 5pm
Learn how to professionally finish your knitted items and turn them from homemade into handmade. In this 3 hour workshop students will learn how to block their finished items, seaming, picking up stitches, and advanced cast ons and bind offs that give a professional edge. To book click here.

Our hand spinning classes are taught by Janet Day. Janet has been spinning since 2001 and teaches both here in Australia and internationally. Spinning is her passion and she just loves to introduce it to as many people as possible.
Beginners Hand Spinning, 4 weeks, $400
Sundays 6, 13, 20 October and 3 November 2024, 10am - 1pm
Be gently guided through the process of spinning on a wheel. Students will learn how to prepare and spin from a fleece and a whole range of other fibres including Alpaca and silk. By the end of the course students will have a basic knowledge on how to spin a balanced yarn that can be then used for knitting and weaving. For more information and to book click here.
